Uganda was incredible... really really amazing. Words don't describe it actually! Working in the emergency clinic has reaffirmed my desire to be an Emergency and Trauma Physician, and living alongside Ugandans and actively participating in their daily cultures and routines has taught me innumerable life lessons. I wanted to go to Uganda for work experience and to see a bit of the world, and instead I learned values (such as the importance of collectivity, self-acceptance, and love) that I was just never expecting in a million years!
