My time in Nablus, Palestine, though short, was extremely pleasant and went very smoothly. All the people I worked with were very easy going and co-operative. Even my encounters with the local people in Nablus were very pleasant. Most people I met were very friendly and helpful. I saw people who had stayed in Nablus for months and still thought they wanted more time there. I would recommend that all people thinking of volunteering consider Palestine as one of their options. It is nothing like you think it is. In fact, it is far more ‘normal’, comfortable and safe than it is projected to be on the media. And a special mention to Love Volunteers for being available and approachable throughout my time in Palestine.
