I was assigned to a primary school in Athlone (burrow’s of Cape Town) and had assisted a teacher in grade 3. Those two weeks were simply great.The primary school is very energetic and the kids are just amazingly welcoming to me and my culture. The kids were so curious about me, where I was from, why I was volunteering etc etc. We have worked mainly the mathematics and the English reading and writing.
The kids have made me promised to go back……………promise that I’d like very much to fulfill.
Thank’s to the staff and the “learners” at Belthorn primary school for a one of a lifetime experience. And thank’s to Lovevolunteers for the opportunity.
